Garth J. Simpson is a Professor of Chemistry at Purdue University. Since 2001, the Simpson group has advanced nonlinear optical microscopy methods for quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical materials, the results of which are included in140 peer-reviewed publications in prominent journals and a textbook. Work from his group has been recognized by the 2022 ACS Award in Spectrochemical Analysis, the 2014 Innovation Award from the Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies, the ACS Findeis Award, a Sloan Foundation Research Fellowship, a Cottrell Teacher-Scholar Award, a Beckman Young Investigator Award, a Dreyfus New Faculty Award, and the ACS Victor K. LaMer Award.
