Rachel C. Ginther, PhD, earned her B.A. in Chemistry, cum laude, from Saint Louis University in 2012 and her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Kansas in 2017 under Prof. Michael Johnson. As a Graduate Research Assistant, her work focused on developing bioanalytical methods for measuring neurotransmitter release in real time. After completing her Ph.D., she joined MRIGlobal as a Staff Chemist in 2018. She advanced to Senior Chemist, directing de novo peptide sequencing projects and developing stability-indicating UHPLC methods for peptide drug products.
In her current role as Program Manager, Dr. Ginther leads multiple non-government projects totaling $2 million annually. She serves as the Principal Investigator for GLP bioanalytical biomarker ligand binding assays supporting clinical trials for antisense oligonucleotides and is actively leading a research program developing chromatography tools for analyzing CRISPR-based therapeutics. She played a crucial role in establishing GLP/GMP capabilities in the life sciences space within the institute and spearheaded strategic business initiatives to enhance biologics analytical and manufacturing capabilities.
