Cell and gene therapies are an emerging modality. In recent years, the number of clinical trials and FDA approved therapies have increased significantly. While ligand binding assays and LCMS have been the pillars for the types of assays needed for more conventional therapies, less common assays such as flow cytometry and PCR is essential for cell and gene therapy. The goal of this presentation is to highlight some of the challenges and considerations with cellular therapy and provide some strategies to address it.
Learning Objectives:
Understanding the challenges from a bioanalytical perspective for cell and gene therapies.
Identify the types of bioanalytical assays needed for cell and gene therapies.
Provide strategies to address those challenges in bioanalysis.
